Drug & Alcohol policy FAQs

Modified on Tue, 1 Apr at 10:01 PM

A new drug and alcohol zero tolerance policy is being introduced on 1 April 2024 as part of M Group’s continued efforts to support our people and improve health and wellbeing.

This reflects our Group commitment to safety and the importance of maintaining the health and wellbeing of all our people. Appropriate support is available for anyone who needs help to manage their relationship with illegal, prescription or over-the-counter drugs and alcohol.

Group-wide, all our people, suppliers and sub-contracted workers under our supervision, direction and control, are already subject to random testing. From 1 April 2024, to support compliance with the policy, at least one in five people will be tested every year. HGV drivers will be subject to mandatory testing during their probation period. The group policy is underpinned by a divisional policy and procedures which addresses sector differences.
