Manager Self Service (Salary Changes Only)

We’re introducing a simpler way to process salary changes. From December 2025, any salary change that affects salary only must be submitted via the new Manager Self Service process within Oracle. This replaces the HR2 form for salary-only adjustments. For all other changes (anything beyond basic salary), you must continue to use the HR2 process.

What’s changing

  • Salary-only changes move to Manager Self Service: Salary adjustments such as Interim Salary Reviews, Qualification/Development Achieved, Additional Responsibilities and Predefined Salary Progression that do not alter any other employment details will be processed by managers using Manager Self Service within Oracle.
  • Faster processing and better records: requests are captured directly in the system and routed automatically for approval.

What’s not changing

  • Conversations first: Using Self-Serve to process salary changes do not replace offline conversations, you must still discuss any proposed change with your colleagues before submitting it.
  • HR2 remains for all non-salary-only changes: if anything besides base salary is changing, continue to use the HR2 form.

Use a HR2 (existing process) if any of the following change as well as, or instead of, salary:

  • Job title or grade
  • Hours/FTE or working pattern
  • Location or department
  • Allowances or other compensation elements

Tips to avoid delays

  • Double‑check the effective date (Increases should always be processed from the 1st of the month).
  • Keep the business justification concise and clear to speed up approvals.
  • If Salary Changes should be backdated ensure you select the 1st of the month for the month you'd like the increase to apply from.
  • For backdated changes, explain why in the mandatory comments and attachments field, backdated uplifts should still always be processed from the 1st of the month they are effective from.
